It's time to address the billion dollar telehealth question.

Virtual care skyrocketed during COVID-19, but how much virtual care is here to stay?

In a recent interview, Roy Schoenberg, MD, of the virtual health magnet, Amwell, sat down with Oliver Wyman Partner, Tom Mikuckis, to discuss the future of telehealth. Roy also shared his thoughts on how technology will change patient care interactions.

“Telehealth solutions must be flexible and easy to adapt to different situations, rather than being implemented in a rigid manner," Roy said. He predicted that within the next ten years, physical, digital, and automated care (the three big classes of care) will ideally apply to all patients, not just certain patients. "The care of any one patient will eventually become a mix of all three classes," he says.
